Which glasses suit me?
Are you looking for a new pair of glasses and wondering: Which glasses suit me? Today, glasses are much more than visual aids - they are a fashion accessory and an expression of personality. In our specialist stores, you can choose your new frames from a huge variety of colors, shapes and brands.
We advise you according to your type! In addition to your individual taste, yourface shape is animportant factor when choosing glasses. However, thedistance between your eyes andyour skin type shouldalso be taken into account when making your choice. We have put together a few tips for you here.
The right frame for your face shape
There are five typical face shapes: square, round, oval, heart-shaped and trapezoidal. The rule of thumb is that the shape of the glasses should be more of a contrast to the shape of the face. Herewe explain the typical face shapes and show you which glasses models flatter each face shape.
Square Face
Square faces already have distinctive contours with a broad chin and pronounced jawline. To soften their severity and make them appear a little softer, we recommend frames with round or oval lenses. Curved frames such as aviator sunglasses or cat-eye glasses also flatter the face shape. Square faces can also wear bold frames and dark colors.

Round Face
If the cheeks and forehead are roughly the same width, and the chin is rather short, the face appears round and soft. Glasses with sharp edges are best suited here: Rectangular, square, or hexagonal frames give the face contour. Glasses with rounded lenses and delicate frames, on the other hand, are unflattering – they further emphasize the round face shape.

Oval Face
Congratulations, you have the ideal eyeglass face!
Almost any frame suits the harmonious proportions of oval faces. Feel free to try a striking or extravagant model – you can wear it!

Heart-shaped face
With heart-shaped faces, the forehead and cheekbones are pronounced, while the chin is rather narrow and tapered. Soft and curved glasses that follow the shape of the face create a harmonious look. Heart-shaped faces are therefore the exception to the rule of thumb "The shape of the glasses should contrast with the shape of the face." Models that are slightly wider at the top, such as cat-eye glasses, flatter heart-shaped faces. Frames with round or oval lenses are also recommended. In order not to further emphasize the broad forehead, the frame should be rather narrow and delicate and in light colors.

Trapezoidal Face
The trapezoidal face is characterized by a narrow forehead and a prominent, broad jawline. To create balance, the frame should have its prominent point on the opposite side, i.e., at the top edge. Accentuated at the top, rather thin at the bottom – suitable for this are cat-eye glasses, glasses with a half-rim at the top, or frames with a gradient that become lighter towards the bottom. This way, the glasses balance the proportions of the trapezoidal face.

The right frame for your interpupillary distance
In addition to your face shape, the interpupillary distance should be considered when choosing glasses. Some people's eyes are relatively far apart, while others are closer together. With the right glasses, you can "harmonize" the interpupillary distance.
The following applies: The further apart the eyes are, the stronger the bridge between the eyes should be. The closer the eyes are together, the more prominent the outer rim and the temples should be.
